Claire Butler is a professional pianist, director and educator with over 25 years experience working with students of all ages. After graduating from Royal College of Music in London UK, Claire taught at Luckley-Oakfield School for Girls, Wokingham and then moved to Bermuda for a position at Bermuda School of Music. Since moving to Calgary, Claire has worked with many organizations as music director including St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Calgary Boys Choir, Silver Stars Musical Revue Society and accompanist at Calgary Girls Choir. Claire enjoys creating music programming and combining all art forms for children to enjoy. Some of her musical story projects have been performed in Calgary Public Libraries and various schools in Calgary. She is Artistic Director of Shine Music Camps for young children and is a Montessori music specialist with a position at Montessori School of Calgary. She is a certified Royal Conservatory of Music teacher and has a full private studio. This year Claire is a YYC Music awards nominee for Music Educator/Ensemble Director of the Year.
