Colin Lowe is an artist who works across disciplines as a technical director, sound, lighting, set and props designer, musical composer and arranger, audio engineer, videographer and video editor, and has also trained as an actor, musical director, vocalist, and instrumental musician. Colin is currently the technical director for Fire Exit Theatre and, in 2014, for Burnt Thicket Theatre as well.  He has worked as an event technician for both Glenbow Museum and National Music Centre, and is the lead video editor for DelTech Productions.  Colin is a graduate of the Cinema, Television, Stage and Radio program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology where he majored in film and television editing.  He has sung with many choirs around Calgary, including the Westwinds Choral Ensemble, Ambrose Community Singers, German Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary, Cum Vino Cantus, and currently sings with Youth Singers’ own ENCORE. He also was a marching member of Allegiance Elite Marching Brass Ensemble from 1996-2002. He has worked as a choral director (Foothills Lutheran Church, and Foothills Alliance Church), a Technical Coordinator at Foothills Alliance Church and an editor at WhiteIron Digital from 2003-2009.  Colin has worked (and in some cases, volunteered) for such organizations as the Calgary International Film Festival, Beakerhead, Rosebud Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Forte Musical Theatre, Front Row Centre, Unique Communications, Unimark Creative, and The Canadian Badlands Passion Play.  Colin and Alida have two smart cars, a cat, and many awesome shoes and hats.
