Emily is a writer, composer, actor, and singer, and is thrilled to be teaching at Youth Singers this year, as she is a former Youth Singer herself! She recently has been seen in productions with Theatre Calgary, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Stage West, and the Citadel Theatre. Her writing has been supported by Eclipse Theatre, Lunchbox Theatre, Forte Musical Theatre, and she was recently chosen for the emerging artist program at Alberta Musical Theatre Company. She holds a performance diploma from Mount Royal University, a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University, and is currently pursuing her MFA in creative writing at the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about training the next generation of artists and is deeply grateful to be spending this year passing on her love for the craft of storytelling. Emily will be offering classes in music theory, performance, theatre arts, creative writing (and more!) through The STUDIO.
