Director of Development
Ingrid Mosker is a passionate arts advocate and community builder. With nearly 10 years experience fundraising for the Calgary Folk Music Festival and over 20 years as a freelance musician, Ingrid believes in the power of positive connections to create a vibrant and supportive community.
Since earning her Master of Music Degree in piano performance and pedagogy from the University of Alberta in 2002, she has been active in Calgary’s music scene through a variety of roles and organizations. Prior to her most recent role at the Calgary Folk Music Festival, she developed curriculum supportive education programs at the National Music Centre (formerly Cantos Music Foundation), and provided office assistance to the Calgary Performing Arts Festival (formerly Kiwanis Music Festival). Ingrid has been a collaborative artist with Youth Singers of Calgary, Savridi Singers, Harmony Through Harmony and the Simple Harmonies Violin Studio, and performed in the 2014 Honens ProAm competition.
Ingrid’s passion for communication has inspired her to study new languages and is fluent in French and Italian. She has a grasp of basic German and is currently studying Spanish. She is an avid runner, enjoys tennis and is a former competitive Highland Dancer. In addition to her role at Youth Singers, Ingrid teaches piano and theory lessons from her home studio and maintains various volunteer roles for her two sons’ hockey teams with McKnight Hockey Association.
