Julie Thiessen has been a member of the Youth Singers of Calgary since 1997 and taught on the artistic staff from 2013 – 2019, both as an assistant and resident choreographer. She trained in tap, jazz, and hip-hop at Dance Spectrum and performed in community theatre shows with Simply Theatre. Julie graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree majoring in General Mathematics as well as a Bachelor’s of Education. Julie has spent the past two years teaching mathematics to students in England and has recently moved back to Canada. She is very excited to be joining the choreography team again, this time with KIDAZZLE and KIDZXPRESS.
