Touring came back with the 2022 West Coast Tour!

In May 2022, the YSC touring program was back up and running, with a company tour of JUNIOR HI, SENIOR HI, and ACT3 singers to the Canadian West Coast! Singers, staff, and TA’s spent five action-packed days full of sightseeing, choral workshops with YSC staff alumni Edette Gagne, and of course performances including the BEST. DAY. EVER show at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo! 

 Highlights included:

• Restaurant-wide impromptu performance of “Hey Jude” at the Modern Cafe in Nanaimo, with guest accompaniment from the BC Musician, Nico Rhodes!

• Professional choral workshop with Edette Gagne

• Full-length BEST. DAY. EVER. Performance at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo, where we had the honour of having Elder Tseskinakhen (William Good) welcome us, and join in our audience.

• Local samaritan purchased ice cream for all of our performers as a “thank you” for sharing our music at the Granville Island Amphitheatre.

• Exploring Capilano Bridges and Olympic Torch in Vancouver.
