Discover Lima: A Cosmopolitan Capital

Lima, Peru’s capital, is a vibrant city of 10 million people, blending diverse cultural influences from South American indigenous peoples, African culture, Japanese immigrants, and more. With its rich history and modern lifestyle, Lima will be our home base for the first portion of the tour, with exciting day trips to surrounding cities.

Artistic Highlights:

• Performances: Present multiple shows in Lima, a city enthusiastic about live performing arts.
• School Partnerships: Engage with students from various backgrounds in private and rural schools.
• Dance Workshops: Expand your dance knowledge with workshops in Afro-Peruvian dance styles.

• Culinary Delights: Taste the best food in the world with Lima being home to 4 of the world’s top 5-rated restaurants.
• Paso Horse Show: Witness the elegance of horses dancing the Marinera, Peru’s national dance.
• Paracas Nature Reserve: Explore where the desert meets the ocean, home to sea lions, seabirds, and even penguins!
• Huacachina Oasis: Experience an overnight stay at a lush oasis surrounded by desert dunes.
• Historical Exploration: Visit the ancient ruins of Huaca Pucllana, dating back over 1600 years.
• Shopping and Sightseeing: Plenty of time to shop, sightsee, and make lasting memories with friends.

The Ultimate Bucket List Experience: Machu Picchu!

Stay for an additional 4 days in an optional add-on excursion to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Explore the Incan fortress, discover the Sacred Valley, and stay overnight in Aguas Calientes, a quaint town at the base of Machu Picchu. Please note the altitude considerations and acclimatization needed.

Safety and Security

Our tour includes well-established tourist centers and activities partnered with local experts and artists. We’re teaming up with MCM Arts (formerly Culture Path), a Canadian company with over 35 years of experience in international tours, ensuring safety is the top priority.

MCM Arts specializes in performing arts tours for high school and university students, crafting itineraries with artistic highlights, cultural exploration, and educational opportunities tailored for North American students.

Who Can Tour?

The 2026 Peru Tour is open to all singers registered in SENIOR HI, ACT3, SHINE, ONCUE, or ENCORE for the 2025-2026 season.

Singers in grade 9 in the 2025-2026 season can move up to SENIOR HI early to join the tour. Family members and the broader Youth Singers community are welcome to register as travelers and experience the journey YSC style!

Dates and Cost

When: August 4-11, 2026, TBC. Exact dates and travel schedule will be confirmed approximately one year in advance.

Machu Picchu Add-On Dates: August 11-14, 2026 TBC. This add-on is 4 days at the end of the tour and is an additional cost for both singers and travellers.

Where: Lima, Peru and surrounding areas, with an optional add-on to Machu Picchu.

Cost

Singer Price: $6475 – Earlybird Singer Price: $5975
Traveller Price: $8500 – Earlybird Traveller Price: $8000
Earlybird Savings: Save $500 on your tour fees when you register before January 31, 2025!

Machu Picchu Add-On: $2035. There is no earlybird discount for the Machu Picchu add-on.

Tour registration is open until October 15, 2025. Earlybird pricing is in effect until January 31, 2025.

*Please note, fees include a reasonable estimate for flights, but as flight schedules and costs are not released by airlines until one year prior to departure, there may be a later adjustment to the tour fees to accommodate the actual cost of flights.

Youth Singers has performed on 5 continents, bringing the spirit of Youth Singers, Calgary, and Canada around the world and singing our way into the hearts of audiences worldwide.

Through Youth Singers’ touring program, singers experience the world, make memories with friends, and perform in many venues and cultural settings. Every Youth Singers tour incorporates outstanding opportunities for performances, education, and personal growth. Through touring, singers experience local culture, try new foods, work with arts professionals, perform and compete on the world stage, and come home with stronger friendships and stories to tell.

Tours include activities such as competitions, clinics with arts professionals, professionally staged shows, festival performances, and cultural exchanges with schools and other organizations. All tours include plenty of sight-seeing, fun, and exploration of the local culture.
